HTML:Recognize, confront, and conquer the fears holding you back from living boldly and freely with renowned Bible teacher and New York Times bestselling author, Joyce Meyer. Fear is the devil's favorite tool in the toolbox of schemes he uses to destroy God's good plan for you. He uses it to hold you back and prevent progress in your relationships, career, and more. In Do It Afraid, Joyce Meyer explains that fear is everywhere and affects everyone. It rules many people, but it doesn't have to rule you any longer. She will teach you how to: Understand fear and recognize how it works in your life. Confront those fears that are holding you back. Change your mindset for lasting freedom from some of the most common fears people face. Remember, courage isn't the absence of fear; it is learning how to move forward in the presence of fear. Courageous people do what they believe in their hearts they should do, no matter how they feel or what doubts fill their minds. When you take ownership of your problems and open your heart to God, He will help bring light into darkness so that you can be free. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

She goes on to share about a woman who was afraid of everything - she lived an isolated, lonely life. “Basically, she didn’t do anything she wanted to do because she was afraid. As she was telling her woes to a Christian friend, the friend looked at her and simply said, “Why don’t you just do it afraid.”
…”Fear creeps in when we forget that God is with us and begin striving and struggling to do things in our human strength. Remember that God said over and over to many of His servants, “Fear not, for I am with you.” Fear can be and often is very subtle. It may appear in the form of worry, dread, or even jealousy.”
There is a healthy fear that gives us a warning of impending danger and there is the fear that tries to paralyze us. The author says, “Understanding that we can feel fear and move forward anyway has been life-changing for me and many other people.”
I liked that the author included stories from other people (not just hers) and how they learned to recognize unhealthy fear and how to face it. I also liked that they quoted scriptures throughout the book. This author gives readers the tools needed to face fear and how to do things afraid. Most of us have never had to deal with so many fears in our lives, country, and around the world. I highly recommend this book as a reference. This year has given us many opportunities to practice these principles.
