The Eucharist is the center and high point of the Church's life. This course aims to help young adolescents better understand and more fully participate in the Eucharist. The Eucharist Catechist's Guide contains ten 60-minute sessions with optional session extensions that make planning longer sessions easy. Sessions 1 through 7 connect directly to The Catholic Connections Handbook for Middle Schoolers (Saint Mary's Press, 2009) and walks the participants through the key moments of the Mass. Sessions 8 and 9 explore the nature of family and the question of how we use our time and relate these topics to the Eucharist. In the final session, participants use what they've learned about liturgy to create their own blessing prayer.
