This book is great for the classroom library! I really like how it shows that Gregory is this boy that simply does not like math one bit but then goes on and shows a tremendous amount of math that is in our lives. This is great for middle school i think because they are at the point where they really do care what others think and showing them that just because a lot of people say they dont like math doesnt mean they have to as well. children's realistic fiction (school). For a story about a boy that doesn't like math, there sure is a lot of math in here, and as a reader that doesn't mind math (approves of it, even), I didn't enjoy the math bits. ( )

Gregory is a boy who does not enjoy mathematics. However, he comes from a family of mathematic geniuses who expect the same from him. Gregory's passion is for writing. When Gregory finds out that his best friend is moving away, he decides that this summer must be great. He and his friend decide to go to writer's camp together. The one problem is that Gregory's family expects him to go to math camp. Gregory decides that if he can impress his father by winning a math contest, then his father will have to let him go to writing camp. Somewhere along the way, Gregory realizes that he can use his passion for writing to make math more tolerable and understandable.
This book would make a great addition to any classroom library. It shows that it is okay to have different interests from those of your family. It is encouraging the way that Gregory uses his passion for one subject to help him understand another subject. The book also introduces math subjects that may be new to some students. ( )

Gregory K. is a middle school student who come from a family of genius and they believe he is one. In reality, he is not a fan of math and wants to be a writer of poetry but he is scared to tell his parents. The Fibs of Gregory K I rated it 4 out of 5 stars it discusses family, math, and literature. ( )

The Book "The Fibs of Gregory" is a great story about a young boy who's family loves math. Although Gregory's family loves math, he does not love math as much as they do. He actually enjoys literacy but does not want to disappoint his family, so in front of his family he pretends to enjoy math. Gregory wants to attend a camp for writing but does not know how to explain this to his parents. The 14 Fibs of Gregory can be a writing, science, or mathematic concept book. Although it says that Gregory does not enjoy math, it maybe use in math or science class because literacy is important in any subject. I rate this book with five stars, I love the diversity of concepts that are displayed through the book and its all around a great read ( )
