A cookbook that celebrates family, good food and Canada's rich ethnic and cultural diversity. In January 2002, Canadian Geographic magazine, in partnership with the Food Network, asked its readers to send in a favourite festive family recipe, along with a brief story about its history and significance. From the over 1000 entries to the contest, 60 recipes with their stories, have been selected for this cookbook. Also included are recipes from two of Canada's top chefs, Chef Christine Cushing and Chef Rob Feenie, both of whom served as judges of the contest. Representing Canada from coast to coast, this collection celebrates the incredible diversity of Canadian cuisine and ingredients.
