Meet Jimmy-not your average kid, not your average assassin Some days are normal, and other days you realize you can handle more than you thought. But when Jimmy Coates wakes to find he can outrun, outjump, and outfight anyone-even the men in black suits that are after him-he knows this kind of overnight change doesn't happen to normal people. And as it turns out, Jimmy isn't normal at all. Now he's on the run from men with mysterious green stripes on their cars and helicopters. He doesn't have time to figure out who they are-or who he is. First, he's got to survive, and he's going to need every last bit of his newfound superpowers to do it. This title is part of the hoopla BONUS BORROWS COLLECTION! 11-year-old Jimmy Coates is seemingly an ordinary boy living in a country run by a controlling Prime Minister ruling by ‘neo-democracy’. One day strange men that his parents recognise turn up at his house wanting to take him away. When Jimmy’s mother tells him to run he takes off and the quest to uncover who he is and save his family is on. Aided by amazing powers that seem to kick in whenever he is in danger, Jimmy eventually discovers that he has been genetically engineered as an assassin to aid the tyrannical government and is only 38% human. He must fight against his conditioning as he joins with the leader of the Opposition. This is a great concept, full of action adventure and mystery. ( )

Jimmy Coates is a boy with a secret and even he doesn’t know what it is. Who are the mysterious men chasing him across the city and why are they after him. What are Jimmy’s parents hiding and who can he trust? And how come he can suddenly do all this really cool stuff?

An interesting young adult read. Jimmy is an ordinary boy, or so he thinks, living an ordinary life. One day his life changes and he starts having more power, more energy, abilities he never knew he possessed. When strange men in black turn up to bring him to a secret underground lair he's not sure that it's for the best.

In a future London with England a near-dictatorship and products from the US being banned this is an interesting spy story. Fun, lightweight stuff. ( )

Gripping and original thriller that fans of Alex Rider, James Bond, Bourne Identity, Matrix will totally love. The start of a series that gets even better with every book. ( )

Action packed from start to finish this is not only an adventure book, but a coming of age story in which Jimmy must learn that all is not as it seems in his life and a great destiny awaits him.
