I go back and forth with Tijan's books. I read Fallen Crest first and enjoyed it. Then I read broken and screwed and didn't like it! Then I read Carter Reed and LOVED it. So, I went back to the Fallen Crest books. I enjoyed this book. I will continue to read the series because I love Samantha and Mason and I enjoy all the crazy drama. But, did I love it? No. So this is between 3-4 stars for me. ( )

This is such a strong series. Tijan really brings realities home. I read some of the reviews how they didn't like the way the characters went. However, if you look past what you expect you see that when you are broken and the only person you can depend on is yourself you become strong and tough. But the minute someone else shows you love you and breaks down those walls you find your weakness and it begins to seep out. That is what Samantha is dealing with in this book. She was starting to feel again. And with that she opened closed doors and old wounds. Of course she is going to appear weak. Everyone reaches a breaking point and falls. The choice is to pick up and keep going. By the end of the book Samantha was stronger than before because she had family!!! ( )

Sam's mom is nuts. I'm so glad Mason and Logan protected her from that nutbag. I also enjoyed reading how much Sam and Mason loved eachother ( )
