A bit basic, to be sure, but I've been writing a long time and found some sites that were new to me. Yes, I spend more time writing than marketing, but still...I'm quite sure most writers will find some useful sites listed. She lists a lot of resources for writers, most of them online and many of them free. She organizes tips according to 9 topics, such as time management, finding energy, research, social media, etc. Check it out. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Member Giveaways geschrieben. As a beginners guide it works well with basic information presented in a clear manner. I didn't have any ah-ha moments but found it an easy read and probably helpful to new writers. This is a great way to start because you have a platform for others to view and communicate with. I personally love pinterest for sharing and networking for anything, so freelance your career that way is a plus. I think that if you are serious about your freelance career this is a basic book to get you started. The hard part is coming up with one niche topic and offer a free value to readers on your blog, website or email list.
Even though this book was published in July of 2013, it is of great help because ebooks are a hot thing right now. Some advice is that you will want to research your market otherwise you wont' have places to sell to. I would edit and proof read through a relative or friend, and if those options don't work for you then hire someone it's so worth it. Today we see so many errors that is is distrubing to me. Either way if you want to learn it you will learn it and Karen Banes is just the place to start.
