This beautifully illustrated book describes the daily habits of a seal in the ocean and informing the reader of various seal facts that supplement the story. I would recommend this book for grades K-3 and use it as an introduction into nonfiction, and perhaps use it as an introduction to an animal research unit.

I really like this book. I enjoy it because it has a storyline to it, telling the life or journey of a seal. But, it also has in a smaller, different font some more factual things about seals. Ex: Seals spend time together in groups on land, but they usually swim alone, etc. I think this book does a really good job keeping the students involved and engaged with the book, while also reaching those kiddos that want more information, they want the factual information.

This book is a great informational book about seals. It has many facts but is simple to read and each page is not packed with a lot of words.
USE: I would use this in a lesson about the ocean or a lesson about different types of animals. ( )

This book would be great to teach about seals and the different characteristics of them. Looking into habitat, habits and characteristics, can lead into discussions about adaptations.

This is a fun informational book full of facts about seals, how they spend their time, hunt, find food, and live their lives.
