This book is the children's literature equivalent of a term used to describe some old films - a screwball comedy. Quirky characters and silly situations rule the day. Pish Posh is the name of the restaurant owned and run by the Frankofile family. The daughter Clara is a professional snob, as it is she who determines who is a Somebody or a Nobody. Pish Posh only caters to those who are a Somebody. A mystery develops when a Doctor she bans from the restaurant leaves her a mysterious clue before he dies. Clara joins forces with young professional thief to solve the mystery. ( )

A very good story that opens the eye of a young girl, to the "real world" of judgement. ( )

A fun book about a girl too old for her own good. Clara comes to realize that being a young girl and acting like a young girl can work together. As the president of a children's literacy program, this is a book that I will definitely recommend to the kids we serve. ( )

this was about a girl who loved mystery. so one day she saw a guy who was at a resteraunt and she thought he looked a little ockward so she put sunglasses on and she spyed on him almost everyday. ( )
