Medusas Master Captain Kat Kim, leader of the all-female Medusa squad, lives by the warriors code. When shes paired with Special Forces Captain Jeff Steiger, she faces new danger. Steiger is all-American, from his blue eyes to his sun-streaked hair, his laid-back manner goes against Kats control-freak ways. When the two hunt for a high-end art thief, their opposite styles combust! His Woman in Command Captain Nike Alexander is in Afghanistan for one reason only to use her pilot skills. She doesnt have time for men, especially military men. Playing hard to get with Captain Gavin Jackson comes as naturally to Nike as flying one of her Apaches. But Gavins sexy-as-sin smile is making it harder and harder to say no. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

Captain "Kat" Kim is a martial artist par excellence and sometimes she holds back. When Special Forces Captain Jeff Steiger challenges her she can't resist showing him some of what she's capable of and beating him. They are assigned on a Art thief investigation and they have to learn to deal with each other both professionally and personally. I loved that they dealt with the issues of protectiveness that he felt towards her and him having to learn to let her be her and trust her to do her job, while she learned to trust someone other than herself with her emotions and safety. I enjoyed the story and could see where they had to work through some of this stuff.
His Woman in Command is by Lindsay McKenna and features Captain Nike Alexander, a greek-born pilot working for the US in Afghanistan who falls for Captain Gavin Jackson but doesn't want to act on her feelings because her past heartbreak with a military romance gets in the way. Features some quite positive moments with people in Afghanistan, glossing over some of the sensitive topics but overall I enjoyed the read.
Both stories were well done, characters were realistic and knew their limits and were competent military personnel without compromising themselves due to love or stupidity. ( )
