I know there is something wrong with me because I am just not a fan of Pete the cat. It’s hard to explain why. I guess I just want more for all the hype he gets. This title is just the same. Peter learns that making valentines is cool and then make a bunch for his class and people in the neighborhood. ( )

Pete the Cat does not think Valentine's Day is cool, until he talks to his friend, Callie. She tells him that Valentine's Day is about telling the important people in your life you care about them. So, Pete goes home and makes valentines for every important person in his life, such as his friends, the bus driver, and the police officers. He goes to a party after school at Callie's and he realizes he never made her a card. She tells him that spending time together is a much better way to show someone they care. This book would be a really good book to read for Valentine's Day, because it shows what the holiday is all about and how one little act of kindness can really brighten someone's day. ( )

This book is about the cat Pete through the a series by doing with friends to understand what is Valentine's Day. I would like to use this book in my teaching, because kids can learn what is the Valentine's Day. This book is good for Kindergarten and 1st graders to read. ( )

Pete the cat thought that valentines day wasn't something he liked. Until he realized that he had so many people to be thankful for. So at first he kind of fought it, but by the end he was making his own valentines, for friends and family he cared for which is good to teach to kids how to show love and respect and a good way to show your thanks to the ones closest to you. At a point he realized he forgot to make a card for someone he really cared for though. ( )
