Erica is a new Harvard graduate. She has started an internet fashion company. She is head strong and stubborn but this company is her baby. One of her teachers gets her an interview with company that funds start up companies.

Blake Logan works for the company that Erica is trying to get money from. Blake lets her now right away that he won't be the one who gives her money but he wants to know if she had a boyfriend.

They keep running into each other. Erica soon learns that Blake has been setting up these run ins. He sets out to find anything about her and get her to be with him. Will she give in even though she see him dating her as conflict of interest?

Blake doesn't give up easy when she tells him she can't see him. Blake is intensely protective of Erica. How will she handle that? She is used to having complete control in her life? Will his protectiveness drive her away? Will she learn to deal with it?

I have seen a lot of reviews that compare this book with Fifty Shades. There are a few things alike but I enjoyed this way better than Fifty Shades. ( )

Hardwired by Meredith Wild was a fantastic romance novel that had me addicted to each and every word.

When reading the back synopsis of this novel, it may appear to be similar to Fifty Shades of Grey, but this novel is far better! Not only does the plot build up and create conflict, but there is character development, romance and a little bit of suspense! It's a great read for someone wanting a little splash of everything.

Erica, our main character, has a strong personality and does not seem like a wash-out type of character. Her story is slowly released throughout the novel and her relationships with characters seemed real and not forced.

There were not many issues I had with the novel. If anything, I would have preferred it to be just a few more chapters longer to tie up a few loose ends, but this novel is part of a series so that isn't a big issue.

Overall, I loved this novel. I want to read the rest of the books in this series!

I feel really let down by a book that has great potential but falls short. I was really bored quite a bit for the first half. The second half picked up more but Erica was a BITCH! I got SO tired of her...."I've been on my own my whole life so nobody is allowed to do anything for me even if it's nice"!! She couldn't commit or admit she loved Blake. UGH! I just feel it was drawn out to make way for another book/money. I will have to think long and hard to spend more money on this series. I still see potential for a good story with a few adjustments. ( )

Meh. I didn't feel like the relationship between Erica and Blake was very well developed at all. I understand instant attraction, but something has to make them fall in love and I didn't see it. I also didn't like the relationship she had with her so called best friend. Erica can be a real bitch and although I understand having issues, she went too far too often. Her hot/cold reactions to Blake also got old pretty fast. I did finish the book, but I am not dying to get my hands on the second. Their relationship just didn't do it for me. I didn't feel the love story. The sex scenes were pretty hot, but everything isn't always all about sex which is what this story seemed to convey. I wasn't impressed. ( )
