Not that the other volumes were bad, just this one defiantly had some old feel to it which I loved. Maybe it was the fact it was a homage to Camelot. This comic book is ending at issue #150 with 150 pages and in this volume you can really see how it's all going to end. Some characters will get a happy ending, but a lot won't I'm afraid. However, I'm super excited to see how it all ends no matter what happens. The other thing I'm really happy with in Fables is three of my favorite literary characters are all in one comic book now and not only that they are on the same team. Ozma, Prospero, and Morgan le Fay! Plus it's very cool to read my first name in a comic book that I love to death. If you haven't read Fables or stopped a long time ago it's best to start again or join the party. Although now that are 20 volumes and several mini-series and original graphic novels worth checking out, you'll be spending a lot of money just to get the full Fables experience. But in my opinion it's worth every penny. Onward and Fableward, we're almost to the end! In this volume, we have the story of a little girl wondering about Castle Dark / the new Fabletown (cute), Rose Red growing in her position as a Paladin of Hope and refounding the Round Table (it's weird and I'm not sure what the point is), and Snow White growing darker as she loses her children/at least their childhoods and husband. It's a dark story as we oftentimes see with this series while at the same time feels like it's spinning it's wheels, much like [b:Fables, Vol. 19: Snow White|17704953|Fables, Vol. 19 Snow White|Bill Willingham|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1380217320l/17704953._SY75_.jpg|24752782]. I guess there are only two left in the main series? Spoilers/pictures: This was a cute story. It's fun to see the perspective of a Fable kid, we don't get much of that, other than the Wolf Children, who don't really feel 'real' a lot of the time. Like I said, cute. Rose Red seems to have gone slightly mad with this. She has a way of just jumping in without planning things, but it more or less turns out okay. Yeah, that's dark. It's not the first time to see that way of dealing with an immortal and they don't have the Witching Well anymore, but still. Oy. I'm Snow Goddam White. That's a wonderful line. Even if the story is really her descent into madness. Fables is all about archetypes and this is no exception. But this is absolutely one of my favorite scenes in the series. Lancelot realizing that this time around... he's the love interest. :D What the heck is Rose Red thinking, bringing back the Round Table??? Even when she is warned by multiple people about the dangers of "re-doing" a classic myth, she insists that second chances are a good thing. That might be the whole point of her being an Avatar of Hope, but I seriously doubt that the hope of a second chance ca deal with all of the problems that happenned with the original Round Table. Ah I took a break from the series but very happy to return! This time around the witches are trying to build Bigsby back to somehow bring him back to life, evil is lurking in the background and Rose Red is bringing back Camelot and the Knights of the Roundtable. Good stories and the plot thickens for the next book! keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

I don't know how much I like this series anymore, where he's taking the plot, the characters. The humor the series used to have just isn't there anymore. The series turned so grim with the Toyland storyline, and I think
And I'm sick of the former Mrs. Spratt.
