This book is a sweet 'lift the flap' book that young children will adore because of the chance to participate in guessing who is hiding under the flap in the nest. A charming little book to help raise children's awareness of nature and their surroundings. ( ) This book is somewhat like the penguins book I also read this week. The key differences are the length and information given. There is significant amount of information about each animal which can lead to you doing your own if your interested in the animal. This is not only a way for kids to read more, but to also give them more knowledge of the species living around them. I just think in general any educational book about animals is something that I’d always recommend. It's in the details! This informative, beautifully illustrated, children's book gives you clues into whose nest the reader is learning about before opening the flap to reveal the marvelous creature and facts about it's traits and habitat. The book is published by Insight Editions, which according to their website, publishes "illustrated books of distinction" that are "elegant and informative". The appendix contains some information about the company, which is known for their humanitarian efforts in warn-torn countries and promises to plant two trees for every tree used in the production of the book. It gives a small blurb about the author, only stating that she wrote her first book when she was 5 years old, and has written several since then. It also gives the link to her personal namesake website. This book would be a wonderful addition to any early childhood classroom. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
