With brightly colored pictures and interesting fonts, this book would be a great mentor text in a writing unit to show students how to make their writing more interesting. Written like a journal, it could also teach students another strategy for writing about their personal experiences. This book is a fun adventure that I could see students in upper elementary school greatly enjoying, especially for students who may not love reading. It is an enjoyable read that could be good to have on hand in the classroom.
