While I cannot relate to stunningly beautiful heroines, I do love an ice queen who uses her cool to mask pain and trauma. There was some quality angst as well! (3.5 stars) ( ) Not a bad read, Logan Gilvry is a whisky runner a man who was burned once in his life and now avoids romantic entanglements. Charity West was a lady but is now disgraced, working with an Irish villain O'Banyon who wants her to lure Logan into revealing secrets about the whisky running and do damage to his family's business. Logan is determined to prevail over O'Banyon but he's finding Charity distracting. Meanwhile the King is visiting. It was an interesting read, seeing the visit of King George IV, formerly the regent (does this make it not-regency-really?) and the events around that in Ediinburgh. It didn't wow me but it did keep me reading. Not bad. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
