Once you have read the prologue, you get to find out how Elle gets to her current situation. The start was a bit slow for me and I was tempted to put it down and forget about it all together. Yet I decided to sick with it because I wanted to know what leads Elle to the situation that she is placed in. How will see cope? Will her secret be revealed in the long run? Yes there was a long build up in this story, but after finishing I felt it was all worth it. If you're after a dirty read, this may not be for you. This is more for a sexual exploration of the main character and what becomes of her sexual awakening. Also due to the book being a French translation some of the names and locations were very confusing. If you know Paris and surrounding area, I guess that this won't be a problem. However I did learn a lot about French history and their culture, so that is a plus. I'm not sure if I'll read the next one. I honesty didn't know that were was another one.
