An absolutely excellent yet tough look at the Kamikaze, particularly those who developed, commanded, and flew the Ohka piloted suicide bomb by someone who was there. For me also really dispelled some of the myths that have circulated (Saying they drunk/drugged/forced to go) trying to explain their devotion. Also showed how much some of those who did volunteer struggled with their decision. Real eye opening. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
History combines with compelling first-hand accounts in this moving story of surviving kamikaze pilots who pledged their lives to their emperor in the closing days of World War II. The stories of their insane bravery are awesome.--James Michener. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
