Quite a haunting novella featuring apparently ghostly happenings and confused time streams, in an isolated spot by the sea in East Anglia. The unnamed narrator becomes stranded when his car breaks down in a dark country lane where there is no mobile signal. He finds two types of shelter, one of them an old cottage that used to be the leper house of the title (though he only finds this out later). There is an air of otherworldliness surrounding the narrative, which seems to move quite slowly, despite this being only 72 pages. Worth reading. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
