This book is wonderful for young children who do not see themselves as "readers" yet. The pictures are bright and colorful. Children could easily infer what is going on in the story and 'read' the story to you just through the pictures. I also think this book would be good to use in a classroom of older students who are practicing descriptive writing. Wonderful! ( )

I received this book through the Early Reviewers program. I have not previously owned any "picture only" books and was pleasantly surprised with this, my first one. The pictures are really cute, and make it quite easy to tell a story. Even better, my 3-year old son picked the book right up and began "reading" to us almost immediately. It really is a wonderful way to get him reading by himself before he actually understands how to read words. I think this will probably be one he pulls off the shelf often to read together with us - at least I hope it is! ( )

I received this book as an Early Review and my two year old son just can't get enough! The wordless format encourages us to talk with him about what is happening on each page and ask our son questions. After just a few tellings, we found him "reading" it to himself and just laughing up a storm. Wonderful book! ( )
