Eventually, the brothers grow tired of feeling alone and unvalued so they decide to retreat this Earth to live amongst the Above World. It was there that they found the Sun Man and Moon Woman who looked after them and punished those who mistreated them. The young boys remained in the Above World as constellation known as Pleiades. I liked this book for a couple of reasons, the first thing I liked about this book that it brought up the topic of bullying and can be used to help students with the issue of bulling in an interesting way. Also I like that this book had interesting pictures that fit the story. Also it was written in a way that would make it easy for students ages four through eight. That is why I enjoyed the book entitled The Lost Children. The Lost Children can be used to teach students that "outcasts" have importance too. The message this book conveys, is important and can be uses to help build empathy in students. The Lost Children is also a book that can be used in a classroom to demonstrate why Native Americans told stories within their culture. Students can also learn about Native American culture by researching Paul Goble''s depiction of the colorful patterns and blankets that Native Americans used.
