I feel like this books does a great job at capturing the style of Lauren Child. Her story takes us through the wonder found in dreams and where they can take you. I absolutely love that instantly it's like we're along for the ride on this crazy adventure! Lauren uses all her basics like popping words, vibrant illustrations, etc, to keep her reader entertained and thinking throughout the entire story! This one was super cute because it explored an avenue of creativity and imagination that some readers might not be able to go often. It essentially allows the readers to make a choice by using a "this or that" style. It's structured, but also child-like. Another amazing and wonderful read from her, for sure! ( )

This is a cute story that questions children about their bedtime- what do they like, how do they sleep, where do they sleep, etc...

I liked the fact that this book was interactive with pop-ups and pin wheels and such. I also liked that the text is written in twists and turns all over the page. The creative imagery is fabulous, as always by Lauren Child. However, the book is very remedial. I would use this book for first graders and under. It would be fun to incorporate an activity where students bring their favorite bedtime story or sleep companion to class. ( )

My son LOVED this book. It's a very cute read. There are a lot of questions being asked which can stimulate a lot of conversation between teacher and student. A rainy day book, maybe? The pop outs were amazing. ( )
