Book for primary. In this book a kid named peanut butter moves to a new home, so he goes out and tries to make a new friend. Everyone he meets doesn't want to be his friend until jelly. She wants to be his friend and eventually the other kids do too. Great book on not giving up when trying to make a friend.

A story all about friendship! New kid on the block Peanut Butter goes out looking for a new friend, and introduces themselves to many potential folk, egg, hamburger, cupcake but doesn't find a taker until they find Jelly. The repetitive and almost rhyming refrain would be great to get kids involved during a read aloud--and the final part of the story shows that when you can have fun all together even those people you didn't first click with can become friends too.

A little piece of bread is feeling very lonely. He tries to make friends but struggles to succeed. Finding good friends can be difficult. This is sure to be a family favorite story complete with rhyming, friendship, and food. ( )
