A naked young woman wakes up on a subway station, though her (seemingly unaware) power of attraction quickly proves to go far beyond her mere lack of clothing. And there are other people looking for her. Worse people.

This graphic novel reads like a very strong beginning, frustratingly ending just as the premise has been set. As it stands, it's a very good execution of a fairly basic premise, but its moments of originality aren't quite enough for me to take the origin story from good (which it is) to incredible. It definitely gives me faith they know what they're doing, though. Hopefully there will be more "Veil" some day. ( )
