It was a great social story disguised in picture book format. The plot narrated how two best friends came to include a third person in their close-knit friendship. This was very relatable to readers because it displayed two best friends at school whose friendship is tested by being separated during the summer due to one of them going to summer camp and the other hanging out with new people while she is away. These are all events that would realistically take place, which draws readers in. Readers may have experienced similar situations, in which case this book would show them that it is okay to be accepting of others and that it does not pose a threat to close friendships. Often times children at young ages are possessive of their best friends and reluctant to include new people at the thought of it ruining friendships. This book would serve as a great guide to them. Additionally, the pictures are very engaging because it shows the two main characters doing everything together from trading sandwiches at lunch, to having play dates where they dress-up and make prank phone calls. Children would love this because they can easily insert themselves into either of those characters, even if the plot does not directly relate to them. The main point of this story is that true friendship can withstand any challenges. ( ) Maude and Sally are best friends and they do everything with each other all time. When Sally goes to camp and sends letters home about her new friends, Maude starts to make new friends of her own. When Sally returns, the three little girls are all best friends. It shows that it's good to have a best friend, but it's better to have many friends. Zeige 2 von 2 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
