"Imagine Jesus from Mary's point of view: proud of her son, in awe of his gifts and mission, guided by love for him as a person and so much more. In this book, Adam Hamilton begins at the end, with Mary at the crucifixion and resurrection; travels back in time as she witnesses his life and ministry; and ends at the beginning, with the Christ child born in a stable"--Page 4 of cover.… (mehr)

This is a wonderfully warm, inviting and comforting little book. Easy and quick to read, but gives a lot to think about. A very fine Advent/Christmas devotional as well as an introduction or reminder of what our faith is all about and the comfort it brings in the midst of our messy lives. "God doesn't promise that life will be easy, that all will be calm and bright. God promises that in the midst of the animal dung and the noise and the disappointment, He is at work! ...If all were calm and bright in the world, Christmas wouldn't be necessary. Christmas came because the world is broken." If have someone you love who has strayed from their faith, this is an easy-to-read and non-threatening reminder of who Jesus is and the reason for our faith. Merry Christmas! ( )

What a truly wonderful read! I sat and read from cover to cover straight through!

Hamilton takes us on a journey backwards from the Crucifixion to the Birth of Jesus.

Spell binding at times, the author leads us into the feelings Mary, the Immaculate Mother of Christ, must have felt at each stage of Jesus' life. Especially His birth and Crucifixion. But more importantly, the author allowed me to learn of the ties between those two miraculous events, and how each is to be treasured. How we should think of one when thinking of the other.

A wonderful read for any time of the year! This book is available on Amazon.com in both the hardback and paperback editions, as well as Kindle book. ( )
