Trotzdem ist das Buch gut zu lesen. Catherine wird mit einem Buch konfrontiert das offensichtlich von ihr handelt. Ein schlimmes Erlebnis 20 Jahre zuvor, das sie nie jemandem erzählt hat, wird aufgerollt. Der Autor des Buches lässt auch Catherines Mann und Sohn teilhaben und so zerstört er fast Catherines Familie. Der etwas zähe Anfang wird durch einen atemberaubenden Schluss entschädigt. ( )
