Die Geschichte führt einen sehr schnell in die Welt von O und den Mikrokosmos von Abagail ein [über den Namen bin ich beim Lesen immer wieder gestolpert - abgekürzt Abbie, ist es für mich eine Abigail - aber der Autor bleibt zumindest konsequent bei Abagail]. Gleich auf den ersten Seiten wird deutlich, dass sich große Probleme anbahnen und auch zu Hause Geheimnisse warten. Die Geschichte entwickelt sich rasant und nach schon nach wenigen Seiten entdeckt Abagail ungeahnte Fähigkeiten und verlässt ihre Heimat.
Die Geschichte war spannend zu lesen - das Buch ist aber für mich kein Buch, sondern nur ein Buchanfang. Das Buchende ist eher ein Kapitelende. Das hatte ich so nicht erwartet, ist aber bei der dann bewusst wahrgenommenen Seitenzahl auch kein Wunder. Daher jetzt schon meine Vermutung: Band 2 ist der Mittelteil der Geschichte, Band 3 das Ende - alle Bände zusammen wären dann ein "normales" Buch.
Nichtsdestotrotz macht es Spaß, diese Geschichte zu lesen, da man auch mit wenig Text sehr tief in die beschriebene Welt eintauchen kann. (
