Searching For Always by Jennifer Probst introduced me to both a new author and a new series. Ms. Probst crafted a novel that is unique, touching, entertaining and well worth the time to read. The premise of a matchmaking service that hints at a mystical element and is run by three very different women is not your ordinary romantic read. Add to that each finding their soul mate and the story becomes more interesting. Searching for Always is Arilyn and Stone's tale. Insecure after a recent heartbreak Arilyn is wondering when her prince will come. Stone has pent up anger and pain that he has yet to deal with from his past. What can a yoga instructor do gooder and a grumpy police officer possibly have in common? Read the book to find out. After reading Searching for Always I am going to surely read the rest of this series. Received an ARC for an honest review. Arilyn had all of the makings of a great heroine, but she fell a little short of that. Alas, good finish though. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Jennifer Probst sparks a blissful mind-body connection as her "sexy, satisfying" (Kirkus Reviews) new series continues! She's an expert in helping others de-stress, but Arilyn Meadows is running on fumes. Along with her job counseling singles seeking soul mates at the Kinnections agency in Verily, New York, she's a yoga teacher, animal shelter volunteer, anger management therapist, and helping hand to her beloved grandfather. No time to find Mr. Right--but after discovering her yogi boyfriend in a compromising asana, Arilyn would rather dog-sit for her honeymooning friend Kate than risk her heart on another downward dog. And when police officer Stone Petty--radiating masculinity and bad-boy attitude--is sent to her for mandatory lessons in cooling off when the job gets too hot, Arilyn vows to ignore his seductive glances and sexy grin. But there's no halting their sizzling flirtation--a red-hot, high-speed chase that's breaking all the limits. Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

So, you think you have your life all figured out. You have your routine, inner peace and know your path. Then someone crashes the party and turns it all on its head. Arilyn finds herself in this predicament the moment Stone walks into her anger management class.
I love a female lead who has got it together. Everyone has their insecurities, and Arilyn isn’t lacking for none. But, they are minimal so if you like stronger females this is a character you can cheer onward. The hero has the most to overcome. He thinks he has his life all put into perfect boxes, but our heroine shows him another side of himself that if he wants, he can be. Oh, and the steam scenes – wow! When Arilyn decides she wants it raw, Ms. Probst gives her some wild nights and mornings in bed.
“You taste so good, …Like sugar cookies. I want to spread you out, taste you, eat you until you come apart.” (fans self)
If you love Jennifer Probst novels, this one will definitely be a winner for your reading shelves. If you never read her, although part of the Searching for series, this book can stand alone. So far of the Verily gang, this is my favorite.
