I understand the author is trying to engage the reader with the silly aspects but at the end nothing really happens. The whole family looks everywhere for the tooth and then cousin Ruth simply shows them that another tooth is starting to grow in and thats the end of the book. I think this is one of those books that as an adult I have a hard time relating to. I tried to put myself in the mindset of a young child and in that mindset I would still be asking, "then what?" if someone read this to me. ( ) When I chose this book, I did not expect it to come out the way it did. Usually, when a child loses a tooth, the family is excited because they can finally get their adult teeth. In this book, the family seems very distraught when they see that Ruth does not have a tooth. I thought this book was quite funny. This is a story of a lost tooth. They look everywhere for it They go to store, look in the attic. Ruth tells her aunt to look in her mouth because she found her tooth a new one was coming in. This is a great book for when children start loosing their teeth. I can always ask if any one has lost a tooth? keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
