This book was my favorite thing to read as well as quite possibly every little girls favorite book when I was younger. growing up, as a little girl, I loved anything Disney princess. We all know the story of Cinderella and her wicked step mother and how she was forbidden to go to the ball. The theme of this story is that, you can't let someone stand in the way of following your dreams and living life. Another theme could be positivity. Through all her trials, Cinderella remained positive through it all. Cinderella wasn't able to maintain positivity all by herself, though, she had the help of all the creatures in her house. No matter how small or tiny, they were able to help Cinderella build up the strength and courage to stand up to her step mother and escape her wicked ways and neglect. Although many movies have been made based off of this story, they will never compare to the original version I read as a child. ( )

My granddaughter said "Wow, this is a REALLY condensed version of the story!"-- I guess it is ok for a child just beginning to read. ( )

Cinderella is sad that she cannot go to the ball but her fairy godmother appears and gets everything ready for her to go. This is a cute story because it is the countdown to the ball. For example, it shows you one magic coach, two coachmen, etc. until it gets to the clock striking twelve. This story is for children who are learning to count with this book it would be an easier process for them. It also tells them the Cinderella story in a short way so they can understand it and read it. ( )

A great reading and counting tool for early readers. The classic fairytale of Cinderella is introduced in a simpler, shorter story. The story is conveyed through original, classic illustrations of Cinderella riding in the magic pumpkin carriage, dancing with the Prince and fitting her foot perfectly into the glass slipper.

Cinderella is a book about a young lady who is treated poorly by her step-mother who makes her do all the chores. Cinderella was considered a maid by her step-sisters and step-mother who said a maid was not allowed to attend the ball. Cinderella was turned from rags to riches from her Fairy Godmother and the glass slipper fit and she went to the ball.

This book is a well known folk tale that starts out bad for the young lady but in return gets rewarded. This was one of my favorite books/movies when I was younger.

I would have each student decorate a glass slipper and then we would post our glass slippers on the wall in the classroom and watch the movie.
