This novel was so good I bought the rest of the series and the novellas!

And that's just what every author wants to hear. I was enthralled by the way the author described Leena and Mizka's love in the opening novella. Reading the novella first is definitely the way to go as it helps you to understand the depth of Leena and Mizka's love, and because Leena is a minor character in the main novel, the novella helps the reader to understand her motivations for helping Rhen and Jinji in the main novel.

Right away I was drawn into Jinji's unusual world and her special abilities and connections to spirit. The novel throws you into suspense and adventure right away, which keeps you gripped from page one. I found Rhen's story fascinating as his feelings about his family and his life unfold.

I gasped and I cried. Truly, this is a novel that makes me say, wow, I wish I could write like her. Well done, I look forward to reading more. ( )

I have to say that I really enjoyed The Dance of Dragons Series Starter bundle. I wasn't sure at first if I was going to enjoy the two books offered in the bundle since at the time I downloaded them they were free. Sometimes you never know what you are going to get if a book is free. The description of each of the two books sounded like something I would enjoy and I am in the mood to start a new fantasy series. I am really glad I took the chance to read and start the series. The author does a great job blending the two stories and creating her world. I thought the writing was great with just enough descriptions and character development. I won't go too much into the plot as the descriptions of the plot are really accurate and we'll done. The book does end with a bit of a cliffhanger but I didn't mind this at all. I thought she finished the book enough but lead you into wanting to read the next one which I will be doing as well. I also looked into the author and she has some other series out which I will probably read as well. ( )
