Chosen's the second book to the Rune Gate Cycle. After Alexandria York,along with her friends, have been forced into the Rune Gate to Orthala by Karel, the serial killer who's from this world, they have no way of getting back to Earth. Douglas has destroyed the talisman. Alex and her friends have to rely on Douglas' help to locate another talisman to get home.

Douglas, a Duke from Orthala, needs to warn the Queen of a treacherous plot. He also feels responsible for Alex and her friends being forced to go to his world. When Alex bonds with Shieri, a sabre-tooth tiger (Battle cat) , Douglas thought his chance with Alex was gone. Alex would be obligated to join the sisterhood of witches on Orthala and Witches can't marry (or can they?)

I enjoyed both books in the Rune in the Rune Gate Cycle. I enjoyed the character developement not only for Alex and Douglas but for the other characters in the story.I'd certainly have to say that this story does not disappoint.
