"My Lady Rogue" is #2 in "A Nelson's Tea", while it can be read as a stand alone, I would recommend reading #1 as well. A Novella. A quick, emotional read that will have readers turning pages as they learn the fate of "Nelson's Tea" group after the death of Admiral Nelson. Filled with danger, spies, passion, guilt, betrayal, romance and love. The H/H learn devastating news after one in their group's betrayal. Packed full of emotional turmoil and love. While, this story has a satisfying ending, the story of "Nelson's Tea" is not finished. Ms. Bone is a marvelous storyteller, one who draws readers into her stories and holds them in awe, as they await the next installment. Have tissues at the ready! I look forward to learning more on these extraordinary characters, their stories and to find who the true betrayer really is and why. A myst read! An very satisfying and enjoyable read! * Received for an honest review from Library Thing* Rating: 4.5 Heat rating: Mild Reviewed by: AprilR, Courtesy of My Book Addiction and Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Early Reviewers geschrieben. I had a problem connecting to the characters, which made it hard for me to be interested in their romance. Although the book was short, the writer had a way of dragging everything out, for instance, it took the whole chapter for Garrick to tell Gillian that Nelson was dead. I didn't enjoy reading this book, therefore, I didn't finish it. Perhaps, if I'd read the first two books, I would've developed a desire to find out how the lovers' story would end, but as is, I had no interest. I prefer books in a series that also work well as stand-alone, and this definitely didn't fall into that category. There were too many names mentioned in the first three chapters. For someone, such as myself, who had no background on the events, this will be tedious and overwhelming. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Early Reviewers geschrieben. I received this book as an Early Reviewer on LibraryThing. Although I do feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the previous books in the series (I didn't realize this was a third) I did like the plot and this is definitely my time period of choice. The omniscient narration did get a bit tedious during some of the character interaction scenes (the characters seemed to have pretty repetitive internal monologues going on) but the plot moved quickly and overall it was an enjoyable read. I'd definitely recommend for beach reading. Diese Rezension wurde für LibraryThing Early Reviewers geschrieben. This is a series book. I had a tough time getting into this book because I didn't no the characters or the storyline. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read the other books in the series first. So definitly recommend start from the beginning. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

It took the usual purple prose of a romance novel, turned it up a notch and used the English language... creatively. My meanings of words don't match with with the author's. The main characters spent a lot of time thinking and not much time doing. Gillian and Garrick seemed to spend most of chapter 2 making weak demands, giving non-answers, and thinking in circles. There was a cast of over a dozen characters apparently introduced earlier in the series, but there wasn't enough here for me to track more than about six of them, so in the large gathering scenes (of which there were several) I usually had little idea what was going on because I didn't know who was speaking or what they were referring to. It also would have been nice to have known why "Nelson's Tea."
I didn't see any typos however, which in my experience is unusual for an ebook. ( )
