Nee, ik had niet in dit boek moeten beginnen, had moeten stoppen bij het einde van Wetten van de Magie serie.

Richard is dood, en Kahlan kan dat niet verwerken. Vlak voor ze zijn brandstapel aansteekt bedenkt zij zich en laat het lichaam weer naar binnen brengen. Samen met Nicci vertrekt zij naar Rood, de heks, en vraagt haar wat zij moet doen om Richard weer terug te brengen.

Tja, en verder... verder wordt Richard gered, offert iemand zich voor hem op, en overleeft hij het gif dat in zijn lichaam zit. Ook bevrijdt hij de zielen van de halfmensen die proberen in zijn 'volkspaleis' binnen te dringen.

Is er meer. Vast wel, maar lees dat zelf maar, of doe het niet. Dit boek was zonde van mijn tijd. ( )

An exciting end to The Sword of Truth Series. Though there were some instances where
things felt like they got repeated a bit, the action and drama of the novel kept me hooked
until the very last page.

I can't wait to begin the new spin off series of Death's Mistress. ( )
