The illustrations are consistent with Vietnamese tradition, and they help unify the collection as a whole.

The illustrations are beautiful. They bring Vietnamese culture to life for those who are culturally or historically unaware. Very few of the stories replicate the themes we know from Aesop's fables and fairy tales. Some of the stories are inspiring, others fell flat.

Pros: Beautiful, magical illustrations bring these stories to life and engage young readers to keep listening while you read.
