A man kills his daughter and a women's husband in a car crash, then sees the widow while visiting his daughter, they strike up a conversation -all the while not telling her he's who killed her husband- begin a relationship. She's a sub, he's a dom. A bunch of events happen that make this not an awful book but more a journey into awful circumstances and a series of bizarre events. I think this book should have offended me more, but I found it almost comical.

A weird read, but not an awful one. More awful secrets and some bad choices.

how heartbreaking this story was at the beginning, but sometimes out of the deepest sorrow we can find redemption in the unlikeliest places. Loved Vandal he was such a tortured destroyed soul and Tabitha was such a balm to his soul she was also a really sweet but still feisty gal, I was rather shocked at her secret in the last chapter didn't see that one coming. I actually thought the D/S context of there relationship suited the nature of this pairs Circumstance's so glad vandal got to vandalize his Tabicat loved it. ( )

DNF at 20%. I found it a.) unbelievable, and b.) repulsive that Vandal approached h while she was crying at her husband's grave and asked her if she wanted to go for a ride on his motorcycle and then she said sure and proceeded to hop on the back of his bike and go home with him, never even exchanging names with him.I mean, really. I know this is fiction, but I found Vandal to be the very definition of selfish poor taste and what's her name to be the very definition of stupid and reckless. Maybe they got better as the book progressed but I found them both to be so distasteful I could not continue. I will probably give it a try and just hope for the best.

This series is about a family of men, brothers and cousins, that are musicians and tattoo artists. I had no idea going into this book that it would be such an emotional read. I had tears at times. The male lead had a harsh childhood and now has issues with addiction. As if he isn't having a hard enough time in life, something unimaginably terrible happens.

"Honey, life is a series of mistakes, regrets, bad decisions, tragedies, and occasional good luck. It's not your fault."

Vandal can at times come off as a dick, but he completely knows it and owns it. Until now, that's the only side of himself he is willing to show. He's not the type to open himself to romantic love. He is the type to go for D/s lifestyle.

Tabitha and Vandal are very different yet have so much in common. Both are looking for a way through the pain. They begin a precarious affair that may save them or completely destroy them.

If you're looking for angst, drama and emotions galore, this is probably the book for you.
