War is a difficult topic to portray to children and this book does a great job. The main idea of this text is to discuss important details of what happened on D-day June 6, 1944. It discussed the nations and people involved through careful explanations. It talked about how this day in particular affected the results of WWII. It enclosed dialogue from real life soldiers involved in the battles of that day. The text is broken up with just the right amount of pictures to supplement the information provided throughout the book. The real-life pictures in the back of the book provided real life images to support the details of D-day. The separate information boxes throughout provided extra content to support the main ideas. This is a great informational text about D-day. ( ) keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
