The style of the illustrations helped to draw the reader in to the story. The illustrations in this story are very detailed and helped to enhance the mood of the story. The illustrations correlated well with the story by showing the emotions of the characters. In addition, I liked that this book had a plot that was easy for children to relate to. Children can often feel sad and isolated when they are different from their friends, just like Franklin. However, with the help of his friends and family Franklin realized that being different is not a bad thing. He concluded that even though he and his friends are different they are the same in the ways that are important to him. The overall message of this story is to celebrate your differences and what makes you unique. When all of Franklin’s friends were loosing their teeth and getting presents from the tooth fairy, Franklin gets sad because he is a turtle and doesn’t have any teeth to loose. However his parents help him to celebrate his uniqueness by giving him a book. Franklin and the Tooth Fairy is a really cute book. This book is about a turtle who wants to loose a tooth. Franklins best friend Bear looses a tooth and when he shows Franklin, he wants to loose a tooth too. He trys everything to loose his tooth. Franklin books are really good books to have in your classroom. They are about a 2nd or 3rd grade level and kids love to read them. They have a Franklin book on just about everything. Great pictures too!! keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen
