I chose this book for the illustrations and use of color. Very quick poems about under the sea and its sea creatures. This book would be great for young children. ( )

I liked the book "A Spectacular Selection of Sea Critters". The writing is very unique because the book consists of concrete poems about different animals. For example, the poem about jelly fish listed characteristics of jelly fish within the illustration of the jelly fish. Additionally, the illustrations were colorful and imaginative. The reader was enticed to read the words found within the illustrations. The big idea of this book is that there are many types of unique sea critters.
