(  ) jennybeast | Apr 14, 2022 | This book had some fantstic potential but OMG it draaggggeeedddd 3 Months. 3 freaking months it actually took me to finish this book because I got so bored reading it and continually put it down for something better. I enjoyed the start of this. The Mafia-esque families of assassins were intriguing; I love that sort of stuff. And I was hoping to enjoy the Italian/Spanish feel the world had but it fell a little short. Overall, I just couldn't invest myself into this world or characters. Lots of them. A pretty quick read full of betrayal, vengeance, violence and of course romance. I'm certainly interested in reading the companion novel once it's released!
