This book would be a good bedtime story for younger kids. Its not that many words. It was something that I think would keep the attention of little kids. Constantly wondering what will happen next. The story plot was very simple also. The author also wrote some other books similar to this one. ( )

This story is about a little duckling who is on her way home so that she can go to bed. On her way home different animals are telling her goodnight and to hurry home. At one point she gets lost and a turtle helps her find the way. This story was very easy and would be great for a younger child who is just beginning to read. ( )

This book is about a family of ducklings and their travel path throughout the day. The ducks swim all throughout the pond all day. After the long day, they head back to their nest. One of the ducklings was very friendly. He would always stop along the way and tell everyone one goodnight. One night he had told so many animals goodnight that he got behind and lost his family. A nearby turtle, who was watching the duckling, came to the rescue. He showed the little duckling his way back to his mother and other fellow ducklings.
The way the turtle came and helped the duckling was foreshadowed throughout the previous pages. The turtle was seen on every page prior to his mention. He finally was mentioned when the duckling was lost. Because he was watching the ducks he knew exactly how to help. Also, it was interesting to me how the momma duck was not upset when the little duckling fell behind and got lost. I think she understands how over friendly her son is. She does not seem the least bit surprised that he was not there when they returned. ( )
