Felix's best friend Fiona teaches Felix how to "stand tall" to bullies after he is made fun of for being a pixie in the talent show. This is a very sweet story about how to deal with bullies, and how children feel when they are bullied. ( )

I found this book darling. It almost is about more than bullying--it is also about standing up for one's self. Felix learns how to put on invisible armor in more than one situation. I think that is a good tool to use when working with kids.

When Felix joins his friend Fiona in dressing up like a pixie for the school talent show, he gets teased and bullied by some of his classmates. Not knowing how to stop it, he asks his mama what to do. She tells him to stand up for himself. Felix doesn't think he can. When he sees that Fiona is able to do just that, he asks her how. She gives him a magic suit of armor that helps him stand tall against the bullies. He also learns he can stand up to Fiona a bit as well. ( )
