The book starts off with a 12-year old boy named Teddy. His parents and him work at a zoo called FunJungle located in the middle of Texas. Everyday morning Teddy and other zookeepers take the elephants on a daily walk. But on one specific morning a poacher tried to take a shot on a pregnant rhino named Rhonda. The elephants were so startled that they ran over the restaurant called Gorilla Grill, small tropical animals, and a beautiful landscape for tourists. The next morning Teddy was asked from J.J. McCracken (the owner of the zoo) if he and his daughter Summer McCracken would like to investigate the case of the poacher. Eventually both of the pre-teens find the the poacher and was rewarded with a day off of school and got to experience the baby rhino named Jade that Rhonda gave birth to.

I think this book is great because it contains the genre mystery that I like. Besides "Big Game" I have read another book called Space Camp but it wasn't as good as Big Game, because it really didn't have good genre of mystery and so the book was a bit boring. When I was reading this book I imagined working at a zoo, getting asked if I wanted to work out an investigation, and catching the poacher, plus getting the rewards. I think when I got a little bit older I might want to shake the author's hand and ask if he could sign a copy of this book, I think that would be really cool. If someone were to ask, tell me about this book in three words I would say mysterious, amazing, and spectacular. This book also made me a bit emotional because there's only a few rhinos world and so I think that's why this book was published. ( )
