A mother's spirit returns to leave a final written message for her daughter. A woman dreams every detail of her son's fatal car accident seven years before it happens. Two long-dead brothers continue to act out the same murderous scene night after night. For more than fifty years, the readers of FATE Magazine have submitted these and other true personal stories of strange, unexplained, and paranormal experiences. "True Mystic Experiences" has been one of FATE's most popular features since the magazine's inception in 1948. These stories are firsthand accounts of extraordinary events happening to ordinary people. Each author has submitted a signed and notarized statement swearing to the truth of his or her experience. Read every detail of these amazing encounters with incredible phenomena like: guardian angels, ghosts, spirits, and hauntings, out-of-body experiences, precognitive dreams, and some that are just too weird to categorize! If you've ever had an experience that can't be easily explained, or if you're just curious about the many strange coincidences and spooky things that happen to ordinary people every day, you won't want to miss this fascinating collection. It's proof that the truth is indeed stranger than fiction! The following True Mystic Experience is a ghost story with a twist. We've all heard ghost stories that describe the ghosts of people and even animals. But it's extremely rare to encounter a ghost ship. If you ever happen to be in Duluth, Minnesota at night, keep your eyes open for a supernatural ship returning from the depths beyond. . . The Phantom Fitz The Great Lakes ore carrier Edmund Fitzgerald sank in eastern Lake Superior on November 10, 1975, during a bad storm. All hands were lost. Its remains were not positively identified until May 21, 1976. But on Halloween night, October 31, 1980, my boyfriend Jerome Renner and I saw the Fitz. The city of Duluth is built on the hills around the west end of Lake Superior and a scenic route at the top of the hills runs the length of the city. That Halloween night my boyfriend drove along Skyline Drive and stopped for a panoramic view of the city. In the harbor we saw a stationary ore boat. It was not parallel to the docks as boats usually are but at a funny angle. All American boats show a specific individual light pattern at night and none is duplicated, especially after a sinking. We recognized the carrier as the Edmund Fitzgerald. For such a large ore carrier to enter the harbor, the Aerial Bridge has to go up. Jerry later talked with the men on the bridge. They told him they saw the boat coming, signaling to raise the bridge. They acknowledged and raised it. They told Jerry they could hear the sounds of sledgehammers opening the hatches as the boat passed under. The phantom ship was gone without a trace the next day. - Wendy Mitchell, Duluth, Minnesota February 1988 Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |
