Unfortunately, this one did not do it for me. The fourth book in this series needs a new plot as the third wrapped up the main story of the parents and the mystery of Olivia's origins. The new plot involves the murder of a new type of Fae, the Lamiae, and a lone hound that escaped a rogue Huntsman. The story also furthers the love triangle.

The new plot did not enthrall me, as I mostly wondered why the story was continuing. The love triangle was likewise frustrating, as Ricky seemed to suddenly do a 180 and decide to break things off with Olivia in case Gabriel may have a shot. I never particularly liked ot disliked Ricky and Olivia together, but breaking off an established relationship to keep the love triangle going is not something I particularly enjoyed . ( )

Love, love, love. This is a wonderful series, great characters, good story. The only instance I know of a love triangle well done. No contrived misunderstandings (of course there are misunderstandings, but they are handled quite maturely). No damsel-like behaviour. In general, mature behaviour. Everything is very believable, and the character development is well done. ( )
