This is a great book to read in the classroom because it teaches students about telling the truth. I loved reading this to my students because in elementary is when they start to really pick up in lying and they need to know that thats not okay. ( )

I have always loved the Bernstain bears because they are teaching you something. This one is a favorite of mine because i hate it when people don't tell the truth. This would be great to use in a classroom because it can show students the trouble about not telling the truth.

In the story “The Berenstain Bears and the Truth”, Brother Bear and Sister Bear are playing soccer in the house, when they accidentally knock over and break a lamp. When Mama Bear comes home, she asks her children what happened and they lied. When Papa Bear comes home and their stories don’t match up, they get caught. The moral of this story is to always tell the truth. This story portrays to children that lying is wrong and can change the way people view you as a person. Mama Bear has to explain to her children that when you lie, in the future people will not believe you in the future. ( )
