I loved how this story not only tie together all the main characters in the previous two books (hanna, nick, KADY and ezra) but also introduced use to whole new set of characters. The formate of the this book was amazing and the audiobook was so well done. I really loved the ending of this story so much. I really loved how we got some many new character interactions and all the characters connections and relationship was the highlight of this book. I really can't pick a fav character but they were all so well crafted. This is def one of my favorite books of the year so far and one of my favorite science fiction series! By far the best of the chronicles! You get to know all the characters a lot better and are introduced to some new ones! Ella continues to be my favorite and her “handles” on chats never fail to make me laugh. I just wish that Asha and Kady either had different last names or weren’t referred to by them haha I kept getting confused. keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

HTML:From bestselling author duo Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff comes the exciting finale in the trilogy that broke the mold and has been called "stylistically mesmerizing" and "out-of-this-world-awesome." Kady, Ezra, Hanna, and Nik narrowly escaped with their lives from the attacks on Heimdall station and now find themselves crammed with 2,000 refugees on the container ship, Mao. With the jump station destroyed and their resources scarce, the only option is to return to Kerenza??but who knows what they'll find seven months after the invasion? Meanwhile, Kady's cousin, Asha, survived the initial BeiTech assault and has joined Kerenza's ragtag underground resistance. When Rhys??an old flame from Asha's past??reappears on Kerenza, the two find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict. With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heros will fall, and hearts will be broken. A KIRKUS REVIEWS BEST BOOK OF Keine Bibliotheksbeschreibungen gefunden. |

“I am not what I once was.”
I was expecting a LOT from this finale, given how utterly thrilling and heart-pounding the first two books were. The characters have come a long way, the stakes are high, and it all comes down to this final story. Did it deliver? Almost totally. While I don't think "Obsidio" was quite as creatively twisty as its predecessors, it does bring those familiar emotional punches and fast-paced action scenes. I think its biggest flaw is the introduction of Rhys and Asha, the new "duo". Because their POVs are split between a fairly big cast of older characters, I just don't feel like readers got enough time to get to know (and therefore care) about them. Don't get me wrong, they're likeable characters but their development, both personally and their relationship, is kind of shoved to the side as bigger actions take place.
All that being said, I had a BLAST reading this! I was on the verge of giving this 4-stars but changed my mind because it was so difficult to tear myself away from it. I think because I was so invested in the story at this point, Kaufman and Kristoff could have written the finale on a napkin and I would still have loved reading it. There were a lot of serious moments discussing war and what war does to people, and I'm glad those conversations weren't glossed over. Additionally, I really enjoyed seeing the Files come together- thought that formatting was super creative.
I will undoubtedly be rereading this trilogy in the future. It is one of the smartest, funniest, and most creative sci-fi series I've read, and I can't wait for more from these authors. ( )
