FGMAMTC Blog Review Excerpt & Giveaway 3.75 stars Each of the books in this series is very different, just like the men. Talon has always been really playful, living it up in the rockstar life. He never gets to know a girl. His life is full of groupie hook ups. Lately something feels a little off, but he can't quite place what it is. "Did you hear me saying wetter? Tighter? No. It was as deep and hard as it was gonna get. And then your face happened. Sorry." Enter Asia. She's very low key, likes to sit at home with her cat making clothes and homemade soaps. She's looking for someone who will love her forever and never leave. She has abandonment issues, and is definitely not a fast and easy kind of gal. Both get approached to enter into a psychological experiment. The participants have to answer a bunch of questions and the professionals will match them with their perfect partner whom they will marry. They meet their husband/wife for the first time at the altar. They have to give it a six-month trial and then decide to stay together or get divorced. Asia and Talon couldn't be much more different on the surface. He's rich. She's poor. He has a huge loving family. She only has a best friend. The list is long. While getting to know each other, they pull parts of themselves to the surface that they hadn't known before. I really got a kick out of this arranged marriage idea. Them getting to know each other is super sweet and sexy. Seeing more of the other men from the series I've been getting to know was great. The medical scare, which causes big issues in the plot, is interesting and not one I've seen used in a book. I did want to knock some sense into the characters when a big misunderstanding happens. Overall, this is another great addiction to the Ashes & Embers series. ***Copy given in exchange for an honest review*** Fangirl Moments and My Two Cents Website / Facebook / Twitter / Google / Pinterest / Goodreads / Tumblr / tsū Zeige 5 von 5 keine Rezensionen | Rezension hinzufügen

A social experiment (a scary but exciting concept): marry a total stranger, live together for six months, and journal everything. Feelings. Fights. All of it. After six months, we each get $50,000 in exchange for our journals, whether we stay married or not. But the goal is to commit to the experience and see if the relationship experts could put together the perfect matches. I have never been lucky in love. This was my chance to find my soulmate. I couldn't wait to meet the man the experts felt was perfect for me. My hopes were immediately dashed when I saw him at the altar. I married my worst nightmare. Right?Contains mature themes. Not exactly sure why I read this one again, I guess I was in the mood for a rockstar story and found scrolling through my Kindle. I liked the idea of the arranged marriage that was not a reality tv show scenario. I liked both characters. Talon is one of those sweet under the tatoos and rockstar persona types and Asia is a tough girl who has lived through a lot. I liked how Asia makes Talon wait on the physical aspect of their relationship. I like how the story plays out and it feels authentic. What I didn't really like and remembered pretty soon as I got into reading, is the way the author writes the dialogue. She uses words like gonna, shoulda, coulda, wanna, etc. and it drove me nuts even worse than the over use of the F word. If it weren't for that, I probably would have given it one more star. ( )
