The book also discusses the many events that affected the themes of his work, from living through both World Wars in America, to the changing environment, to the death of his wife and his remarriage, to his own battle with cancer. The book ends on the legacy Dr. Seuss has left behind.

The illustrations are beautifully done and bring life to the author and his memory. Jam-packed with many interesting facts, the reading is clear and to the point. However, I feel like biography should have kept true to Dr. Seuss's own writing style since it was telling the story of his life- this tale, if told by rhyme, would have been even more sublime. ( )
